Learning Through Inspiration
One of the event’s highlights was a special talk entitled “Attitude of Gratitude: Be Thankful” by noted entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and author Dodong Cacanando. In his engaging talk, Cacanando emphasized that both thankfulness and enjoyment of life are conscious decisions. He reminded employees that gratitude is not dependent on circumstances, but rather on one’s perspective.

He shared that God has already provided everyone with the means for an abundant life—though abundance may look different for each person. Often, frustrations arise when people focus too much on what they lack instead of valuing what they already have. According to Cacanando, true success comes from recognizing the blessings that are already present and diligently working on them. “God has already given us opportunities to be fruitful,” he said. “Our success depends on how we work with the blessing from the Lord.”
Planting Seeds of Thankfulness
The event concluded with an interactive activity: Pots of Gratitude. Employees were asked to reflect on and write down three things they were most thankful for, which they then “planted” in small pots. This act symbolized nurturing gratitude like a seed—something that, with care and attention, will grow and flourish over time.
Honoring a Legacy of Service

The event also became an opportunity to honor one of SCPA’s most dedicated leaders. A mini tribute was held for Ms. Zeny Bocalbos, SCPA’s Treasury Manager, who has been with the company since 1996. After nearly three decades of service, Ms. Bocalbos is set to retire, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, integrity, and inspiration.
Employees expressed their gratitude and admiration for her invaluable contributions over the years, highlighting the many ways she has touched lives both professionally and personally. The tribute reflected the company’s culture of appreciation—not only for milestones and achievements, but for the people who have helped build SCPA’s foundation.
A Tradition of Thanks at SCPA
As SCPA continues to serve Filipino families and businesses with quality hygiene solutions, the company recognizes that its greatest strength lies in its people. By cultivating gratitude, the company hopes to build not only a stronger organization, but also happier and more fulfilled individuals who embody the true spirit of thanksgiving every day.
